Before and After School Club

We provide an appetising breakfast or nourishing meal and childcare, allowing working parents flexibility. Children attend from several local schools, forming friendships outside of their school environment. Parents can drop their children off from 7.45am and they are then taken to their classrooms for the start of the school day.

Children are collected from local schools at the end of the school day and the After School Club operates until 6pm. We offer children a variety of activities within a relaxed and stimulating environment, away from the rigid structure of the school day. Activities both on and off site include tennis, football, music, art, volleyball and gym sessions. Children with specific needs are also fully integrated within our Before and After School Club.

We also offer a Before and After School Club at James Watt School. For more information and prices about the clubs at either site, please contact us.

Nursery

We provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment for children to explore and develop as individuals. Art and creativity play a central role to our ethos, and we follow the Reggio Emilia philosophy to early years education. Our curriculum follows the statutory framework of the Early Years Foundation Stage. We offer flexible hours between 9am and 3pm, although we can also accommodate extra hours before 9am and between 3pm-6pm.

We also a Forest School and regularly take the children on discovery journeys to the local park and gardens. Originating in Europe in the early 20th century as a way of teaching about the natural world, Forest School promotes, observes and supports the social, emotional and physical development of children in an outdoor environment.

Holiday playschemes

We provide holiday playschemes during the school holidays for children 4-11 years old. Sporting and artistic activities are arranged within a relaxed holiday atmosphere. Many of the children who attend the Before and After School Club also attend the playschemes, allowing them to cement new friendships outside of the school environment. We regularly consult children and parents when planning the playschemes to ensure that the provision meets the needs of the community. We also offer extended hours for working parents and can accommodate children with specific needs, encouraging them to integrate with the other children. For more information and pricing,  please contact us.

Stay and Play

A Stay and Play session for children under 2½ years old takes place daily. It allows both parent and child to familiarise themselves with the setting and enables staff to get to know the parents and better understand the needs of each child. For more information and pricing,  please contact us.
